The following information details the characteristics of various letter types, the cost of posting them and our addressing guidelines to ensure that your mail is clearly and correctly labeled.

Letters

A letter has the following characteristics:

• no larger than an ordinary airmail envelope
• no thicker than 5mm
• maximum weight 250g.

Articles Other (AO) / Printed Matter

These are newspapers, books, magazines and other printed materials the following characteristics

• A4 size envelopes
• Rolled newspapers
• Books and pamphlets
• Maximum weight – 2kg
• No compensation payable

Small Packets

These are small gifts, goods or packets with low commercial value. They can be video tapes, cassettes, car parts or machine parts or small wood carving, with low value.

•  Can be packed in small boxes or any packing but contents is not a letter or a printed matter.
• No larger than 1 meter for both length and girth together
• Maximum weight – 2 kgs.
• No compensation payable
